Glamuran Prague is a handmade glass jewelry project shaped in Neukolin, now in Prague.
Between studio tables, open flames and everyday city noise, we create small glass forms designed to move with you.
Traditional craft meets a modular idea.
Material
We use high quality authentic Murano Glass at the heart of our jewelry.
Unlike mass produced glass tinted with cheap dyes, the luminous, fade proof colors of Murano glass are the result of centuries old chemical alchemy, by fusing the world's purest silicas with rare minerals and precious metals.
Colored by Precious Elements
To achieve its exceptional quality, the molten glass is infused with premium ingredients like gold chloride for ruby reds, high grade cobalt for deep blues and microscopic copper crystals for brilliant sparkle. The pure rest silica remove trace impurities and allows the precious metal oxides to catch and refract light with maximum brilliance.
Artisan Expertise
Blending these precious metals into glass is a highly volatile process. The colors do not simply appear in the furnace. They require a technique called "striking," where the glass must be heated and cooled to exact, unforgiving temperatures.
Solid, Fade Proof Brilliance
The colour lives inside the glass itself. Not applied, not coated. No fading. No peeling. No surface colour loss. Dense. Luminous. Solid.
When you wear our jewelry, you are not just wearing glass. You are also wearing precious metals and elemental chemistry.
Production
Every piece is formed by hand in our atelier.
Cylindrical Murano styled glass rods are melted at around 1000°C in open flame and shaped using the traditional lampwork technique.
Each piece carries subtle differences, traces of the hand, the heat, the moment.
We call our glass elements Silicas, small sculptural forms made to be combined, layered and reimagined.
No two are completely identical.
